I am posting an example of why I think hockey is the best lifetime sport. It isn't an impact sport because you glide. I have had 3 knee operations and have bone on bone and can't play tennis anymore or run. Just biking and hockey. I think this is a major reason why we should encourage people to play the game.

Burnaby 2010 75+ & 80+ Hockey Tournament September 7, 8, & 9, 2010

Second Annual 75+ and 80+ divisional hockey tournament-2010.
The tournament will be held on September 7th, 8th, and 9th at the Burnaby Winter Club.
We expect to have six 75+ teams and at least three (trying for four) 80+ teams. All games will be played in the main rink. Schedule will be published at a later date. Team price is $625 and individual cost is $60.
The official motel is the Best Western at 5411 Kingsway, Burnaby. When phoning for a reservation, tell them you are with the Burnaby 75-80 hockey tournament.
The check-in and check-out days are variable depending on your own circumstances. You may check-in on the 6th and check- out on the 9th or later . Price for a room with a single queen bed is $99 and for a room with two double beds is $109 (taxes are extra).
There is a free breakfast every morning as well as free parking and wi-fi. The motels phone number is 604-438-1383 or 1-800-211-1122.
Rooms must be booked by August 6th to guarantee this price.
The dinner will be on Wednesday, the 8th at 4 PM at the main building. Other details will be forthcoming..
We may be limited on seating this year, so get your tickets early.
We have asked to have the Tim Horton mobile unit again this year on either the 7th or 9th. Keep your eyes open and your nostrils clear and you will find them.
