These international coaching manuals were written by IIHF Hall of Fame Finnish coah Juhani Wahlsten and Canadian college coach Tom Molloy . They follow the Finnish model of using the Four Game Playing Roles to develop individual and team skills needed to play at the highest level. The last part of each book contains drills and games for coaches to use in practice. Book 1 has the first 3 levels with removable coaching cards. Book 2 has an added Team Play section and the complete 7 level program.

Skating A1 1012 Skating around obstacles

Line up along the side boards.

Jump over, slide under, skate through obstacles. This promotes balance in the proper skating posture.

B5 walk in from the corner.

The player dumps the puck in and the coach gives some resistence as the player does fakes and pivots and then drives to the net.
