Technicoach Drill Drawing Program

I use the Technicoach Drill Drawing Program. You can paste in international symbols and just pull the tools across the various rink diagrams. It includes hockey, football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball and off ice training. I find it very easy to use. The diagrams can be groups for a practice and then print them and can also be exported as a jpg file which I put on the forum posts in the daily drill section.

You can download it on the internet and they send you upgrades if they change things.

Takes you to their site and click on HNIC and then on the left scroll down to Think Hockey. Clip titles appear by the screen on the right and you can scroll down. There are 56 video's there today.

These international coaching manuals were written by IIHF Hall of Fame Finnish coah Juhani Wahlsten and Canadian coach Tom Molloy . They follow the Finnish model of using the Four Game Playing Roles to develop individual and team skills needed to play at the highest level. The last part of each book contains drills and games for coaches to use in practice. Book 1 has the first 3 levels with removable coaching cards. Book 2 has an added Team Play section and the complete 7 level program.

Starting Jan. 1, 2010 I will send a pdf file with over 100 new drills, games and coaching techniques to coaches who order one or two books.

Line up along the side boards.

Jump over, slide under, skate through obstacles. This promotes balance in the proper skating posture.

The player dumps the puck in and the coach gives some resistence as the player does fakes and pivots and then drives to the net.
